(Pixabay photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Government of Ontario has invited 29 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination through its French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream.<\/p>\n<p>The August 30 draw was Ontario\u2019s twelfth through the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/ontario-express-entry-french-speaking-skilled-worker-stream.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream<\/a>\u00a0since the start of June.<\/p>\n<p>The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) has now invited 1,006\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/express-entry.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Express Entry<\/a>\u00a0candidates\u00a0in 29 draws through its French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream since the start of 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The OINP said candidates invited in this round submitted their Express Entry profiles between January 1, 2018 and August 30, 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream was launched in 2015 to target French-speaking Express Entry candidates who qualify for either the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/canadian-skilled-worker-immigration.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Federal Skilled Worker Class<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/canadian-experience-class.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Canadian Experience Class<\/a>\u00a0and are sufficiently proficient in English (CLB 6 or higher).<\/p>\n<p>There are also\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/ontario-express-entry-french-speaking-skilled-worker-stream.html#MinimumEligibilityRequirements\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">unique provincial criteria<\/a>\u00a0that candidates must meet.<\/p>\n<p>The stream aims to bolster Ontario\u2019s francophone community, which numbers more than 622,000 people and is the largest French-speaking minority in Canada.<\/p>\n<p>Express Entry manages the pool of candidates for Canada\u2019s three federal economic immigration programs \u2014 the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/federal-skilled-worker-program-fswp.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Federal Skilled Worker Class<\/a>, the Federal Skilled Trades Class and the Canadian Experience Class.<\/p>\n<p>Express Entry candidates who are nominated by Ontario receive an additional 600 points toward their\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/express-entry-comprehensive-ranking-system.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)<\/a>\u00a0score.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Government of Ontario has invited 29 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination through its French-Speaking Skilled &hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":44,"featured_media":177228,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[6],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-180642","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-immigration","mauthors-stephen-smith","mauthors-cic-news"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/180642","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/44"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=180642"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/180642\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/177228"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=180642"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=180642"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=180642"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
