(Pixabay photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The province of Ontario has issued new invitations to immigration candidates through its Express Entry-aligned French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream as well as its Entrepreneur Stream.<\/p>\n<p>In an update published August 24, Ontario said it issued 15 Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/express-entry.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Express Entry<\/a>\u00a0candidates through the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/ontario-express-entry-french-speaking-skilled-worker-stream.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">French-Speaking Skilled Worker (FSSW) Stream<\/a>\u00a0on August 23 and another 31 through this same stream on August 16.<\/p>\n<p>These draws bring the total invitations issued through FSSW stream in 2018 to 977.<\/p>\n<p>Ontario has been issuing invitations on a regular basis this year through this stream, which\u00a0is for French-speaking candidates in the federal government\u2019s Express Entry system who have strong English language abilities.<\/p>\n<p>The federal government\u2019s Express Entry system manages the profiles of candidates in Canada\u2019s three main economic immigration categories: the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/federal-skilled-worker-program-fswp.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Federal Skilled Worker Class<\/a>, the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/canada-federal-skilled-trades-program-fstc.html\">\u00a0Federal Skilled Trades Class<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/canadian-experience-class.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Canadian Experience Class<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In order to qualify for Ontario\u2019s FSSW stream, candidates must be eligible for either the Federal Skilled Worker Class\u00a0or\u00a0the Canadian Experience Class and have a Canadian Language Benchmark of at least 7 in French and 6 in English,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/ontario-express-entry-french-speaking-skilled-worker-stream.html#MinimumEligibilityRequirements\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">among other criteria<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>There is no\u00a0minimum\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/express-entry-comprehensive-ranking-system.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Comprehensive Ranking System<\/a>\u00a0(CRS) score requirement for the FSSW stream and Express Entry candidates who are nominated by Ontario receive an additional 600 points toward their CRS score.<\/p>\n<h3>Entrepreneur Stream issues new invitations<\/h3>\n<p>Ontario also announced the issuing of 21 new invitations to apply under its\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/ontario-entrepreneur-stream.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Entrepreneur Stream<\/a>\u00a0on August 20.<\/p>\n<p>The minimum score for this draw was 110 \u2014 the lowest score yet for a draw through this stream since August 29, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Ontario\u2019s Entrepreneur Stream welcomes business people who want to implement a new business idea or buy an existing business in Ontario.<\/p>\n<p>Entrepreneurs can apply for
