(File\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/teamjakezyrus\/photos\/a.1415141995232693\/1814323771981178\/?type=3&amp;theater\">Photo<\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/teamjakezyrus\/\">Jake Zyrus\/Facebook<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>From joining local singing contests to being a Youtube sensation to tapping the international music scene, to making headlines about his transition; this time, Jake Zyrus goes international on the big screen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI play the role of Akira, <em>parang<\/em> (who is like the) best friend <em>ako nung bida na<\/em> <em>si <\/em>(of the protagonist) Aiko, played by Kang Ji-Young,\u201d Jake said in an interview with ABS-CBN.<\/p>\n<p>This may not be the first time for him to go global, but this is the first time for a movie role.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYaru Onna\u201d which translates to \u201cShe\u2019s a killer\u201d in English is a Japanese film centering on a contract killer named Aiko, in search of those who murdered her family.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Isa siyang<\/em> assassin <em>tapos ako \u2018yung tumutulong sa kanya na maghanap ng<\/em> next target <em>niya<\/em> (She is an assassin and I am the one who helps her in looking for her next target),\u201d Jake shared.<\/p>\n<p>In the film\u2019s less-than-two-minute-trailer, apart from blood spilling and gunshots ringing, Jake was featured in a scene \u2013 a conversation between Akira and Aiko.<\/p>\n<p>Though Jake\u2019s career was mostly focused on his music, performance, and judgement, he revealed that the Japanese producers of the film chose him for the role.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey handpicked me for the role. Last year<em>, nag-<\/em>start<em> kami mag<\/em>-shoot. <em>Kaya sa<\/em> movie, <em>maliit pa ang boses ko<\/em>, before the transition \u2018<em>yun <\/em>(We started shooting last year. That is why in the movie, my voice is still smaller, because that was before the transition),\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>According to Jake, he also sang movie\u2019s theme song.<\/p>\n<p>Describing the working behind the film, Jake said that the staff were easy to work and get along with.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Nakakatuwa pa akala nila nag-<\/em>transition <em>na ako noong andoon na ako<\/em> (they thought I already transitioned when I was still there filming) and they\u2019re very respectful about it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Jake also said that he really appreciated that in the credits of the movie \u2013 also seen on the trailer \u2013 the words \u201cCharice Pempengco a.k.a.
