Reyes, Philippine Daily Inquirer<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>MANILA &#8212; A schoolmate of frat hazing victim Guillo Cesar Servando, who was beaten to death during an initiation, was reported to have called the police after Servando lost consciousness on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>John Paul Raval, a hazing survivor called the Philippine National Police&#8217;s emergency hotline Patrol 117 hours after the hazing.<\/p>\n<p>Raval reported how his friend Servando\u00a0was in a bad condition and sought help from the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC).<\/p>\n<p>He, however, did not said that Servando\u00a0was a victim \u00a0of hazing but narrated that he only found the the victim drunk, lying on the floor and no longer moving.<\/p>\n<p>Raval and the two other having survivors,\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Lorenzo Agustin, 18 and a 17-year-old boy were brought to the hospital by PNRC team who arrived after the call.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Servando was found lying on the floor and was no longer breathing while the survivors were taken to the\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ospital ng Maynila and later to the Philippine General Hospital.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Police reports showed that the four victims were brought to a hazing place in Palanan, Makati by a man they call &#8220;Aircon.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The initiation rites were then held an the victims were allegedly beaten up for three hours by about 11 men using\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\">belts, paddles, and their fists.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The victims were then brought to Raval&#8217;s condo unit and two men identified as\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Hans Tamaring and Trex Garcia were reported to have left the unit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The police are now conducting an investigation on the incident.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MANILA &#8212; A schoolmate of frat hazing victim Guillo Cesar Servando, who was beaten to death during an initiation, was &hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":44,"featured_media":17780,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1482,1145,95],"tags":[6282,6281],"class_list":["post-17779","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-breaking","category-headline","category-news-ph","tag-calls-117","tag-hazing-victim","mauthors-lei-fontamillas","mauthors-philippine-canadian-inquirer"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/17779","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/44"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=17779"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/17779\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/17780"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=17779"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=17779"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=17779"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
