{"id":176668,"date":"2018-08-14T05:00:37","date_gmt":"2018-08-14T09:00:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/?p=176668"},"modified":"2018-08-14T05:00:37","modified_gmt":"2018-08-14T09:00:37","slug":"monsoon-affected-families-now-154671-ndrrmc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/2018\/08\/14\/monsoon-affected-families-now-154671-ndrrmc\/","title":{"rendered":"Monsoon-affected families now only at 154,671: NDRRMC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0&#8212; The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on Tuesday has placed the families affected by heavy rains caused by the southwest monsoon enhanced by Tropical Storm &#8220;Karding&#8221; to 154,671 or around 691,574 persons residing in 469 barangays in Region 1, 3, 4A (Calabarzon), Cordillera Administrative Region and the National Capital Region (NCR).<\/p>\n<p>This is lower than 248,090 families or 1,057,767 persons residing in 713 barangays in Region 1, 3, 4A, NCR and CAR stated in NDRRMC&#8217;s Monday update.<\/p>\n<p>The agency attributed the decrease to the &#8220;reconciliation of the data of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) with the affected regions separating the number of families\/persons previously affected by the effects of southwest monsoon enhanced by Tropical Depressions &#8216;Inday&#8217; and &#8216;Josie'&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Both weather disturbances hit the Philippines in late July.
