De Lima on Monday ordered the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to conduct an in-depth investigation into the new case of hazing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">According to De Lima, she has instructed NBI Director Virgilio Mendez to coordinate with the Philippine National Police (PNP) in the case of Guillo Cesar Servando, a sophomore HRM (hotel and restaurant management) student of the De La Salle University-College of Saint Benilde who died due to a violent fraternity initiation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">Initial investigation showed that Servando died when he sustained serious physical injuries after undergoing a fraternity initiation rite by the Alpha Kappa Rho (AKRHO).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">Aside from Servando, three fellow students have also sustained serious physical injuries after undergoing the initiation.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MANILA &#8212; Justice Secretary Leila M.
