(Ace Morandante\/Presidential Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday berated more than 100 erring policemen, including 87 from the National Capital Region Police Office at the Malaca\u00f1ang Palace grounds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLook at my eyes,\u201d Duterte ordered the 102 policemen including three who are linked to kidnap-for-ransom activities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Alam mo, hindi ko maintindihan kung kayong mga<\/em>\u00a0criminal<em>nakapasok sa<\/em>\u00a0police\u201d (You know, I cannot understand why you criminals were able to join the police force),\u201d the visibly irked President said.<\/p>\n<p>Duterte said the Philippine National Police (PNP) leadership has been trying to improve its image only to be tainted by the policemen allegedly involved in robbery, extortion, illegal drugs, rape and grave misconduct.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Bakit kayo pumasok sa<\/em>\u00a0police?\u00a0<em>Anong nakain ninyo na &#8212; itong<\/em>police,\u00a0<em>para lang ito sa mga tao may pagmamahal sa bayan at gusto makapag-silbi sa kapwa tao nila\u00a0<\/em>(Why you joined the police force? This police is only for people who love the country and wanted to serve their fellowmen),\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The President warned that he will not hesitate to kill the policemen particularly those involved in illegal drugs and corruption.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will review your cases.<em>\u00a0Kayong may mga kasalanan na sindikato sa droga, sindikato sa<\/em>\u00a0corruption,<em>\u00a0meron akong<\/em>\u00a0special unit\u00a0<em>habang buhay bantayan kayo at pag nagkamali kayo nang konti, sabihin ko patayin kayo<\/em>\u00a0(Those who are involved in drug syndicates and corruption, I will have special unit that will monitor throughout your life and if you commit just one mistake again, I will order to kill you),\u201d Duterte said.<\/p>\n<p>Duterte said erring policemen have no place in the government institution like the PNP.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWala kayong silbi para sa akin. Salot kayo sa lipunan. Wina-warningan ko kayo (<\/em>For me you are useless. You are the plague of society.
