Aquino III steps down from the presidency on June 30, 2016, Malacanang said that the administration will make it a point to achieve its key advocacies.<\/p>\n<p>Presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said in an interview over state-run dzZRB radio on Saturday that the administration will push for good governance to achieve inclusive growth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to make sure that as the President leaves office in 2016, he has laid the foundation for an economy that will provide equitable growth for all,\u201d Lacierda said.<\/p>\n<p>He said that the Aquino administration envisions a system where the public appreciation for the government has increased.<\/p>\n<p>He further said that the goal was not to go back to where the Philippines was before the Aquino administration since the public always expected better from governance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDespite the many issues we have to handle on a daily basis, Filipinos can expect standards of governance have risen and they should not allow those standards to go down again,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The presidential spokesperson meanwhile said that President Aquino has yet to mention any presidential aspirants he was willing to endorse for the 2016 elections.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will have to wait for the process to proceed and take its course,\u201d Lacierda said.<\/p>\n<p>It can be recalled that the President has in his previous speeches, urged Filipinos to elect an official who would continue the reforms he has started.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe should take into consideration (electing a president) who will continue the projects that we started and continue the kind of government people expect,\u201d Lacierda said.<\/p>\n<p>He quoted President Aquino saying that the next president should possess basic principles of honesty in the public service.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c(President Aquino) mentioned that he wants the next president to continue the reforms and to make whatever resource we have made irreversible,\u201d Lacierda said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">\u201cOne way to make the reforms irreversible is to find the next president who can push the reforms even further,\u201d he added.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MANILA \u2013 With two years left before President Benigno S.
