The President said that it has become an avenue to explore practical solutions to solve shared health problems and overcome common challenges in delivering essential medical services to the public. SIMEON CELI JR./PRESIDENTIAL PHOTO

The President called on world leaders avoid “egging” Iran to war which could lead to a nuclear war that could “end the planet Earth.”

This was one President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s concerns during his speech in the Asia-Pacific Healthy Islands Conference 2018 before health professionals on Wednesday, July 25.

Duterte was initially discussing climate change and said that “exploding missiles and throwing it to the sea” as practice would already kill a lot marine lives – a fourth of the world’s consumption for five or 10 years – he noted.

“Every time that you explode something that’s terrible in whatever oceans. So first is, before anything else, there has to be peace in the world. The South Korea Peninsula issue has to be resolved,” he started.

The Chief Executive then went on by saying, “Then we stop egging Iran to go to war. Because then if that’s what will happen, even about a few hundreds of missiles, nuclear, then there’s no use of talking about climate change. The nuclear explosion, every time it’s being done, eats or erodes the dignity of earl altogether.”

Duterte continued that leaders of the nations will bear this responsibility since they are the ones who “can make the change and can do so much.”

“And we appreciate nations who approach the problem with sobriety, understanding and providing the coolers heads, so to speak,” he further said.

Duterte, however, did not specify any country saying that cannot be “too generic” with his selection because “you know how it is.”

“I’m sure everybody knows what are these things. And so before anything else, let us decide that we avoid war because that would be disaster. I think it would be the end of planet Earth,” he added.

The Chief Executive proceeded on stressing that apart from the destruction that the explosion would cause, the “residue” would still “greatly change the ecosystem of the world” which could result in hunger.

“So it, I said, it behooves upon us to do everything to avoid all of these troubles. I said, for after all, if there’s a nuclear confrontation of what use would be the issue of climate change to us. And that is really a problem,” Duterte said.

The President’s sentiments came after the word war of the leaders of United States of America (USA) and Iran.

Two days ago, Donald Trump tweeted a message to his Iranian counterpart, Hassan Rouhani.

“To Iranian President Rouhani: Never, ever threaten the United States again or you will suffer consequences the likes of which few throughout history have ever suffered before. We are no longer a country that will stand for your demented words of violence and death. Be cautious!” Trump wrote in all-caps.

This came after Rouhani’s threats during a televised speech, warning Trump to “not play with the lion’s tail or else you will regret it.”

“Peace with Iran would be the mother of all peace and war with Iran would be the mother of all wars,” he added.

The President called on world leaders avoid “egging” Iran to war which could lead to a nuclear war that could …

[1145,16,95

post-173263","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-headline","category-news","category-news-ph","mauthors-bea-kirstein-t-manalaysay","mauthors-philippine-canadian-inquirer
["GET
