(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cicnews.com\/2018\/07\/new-brunswick-adds-9-occupations-to-express-entry-streams-priority-list-0710943.html#gs.5KkrlPI\">Photo: CIC News<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Atlantic Canada province of New Brunswick has updated the priority occupations list for its Express Entry Labour Market Stream.<\/p>\n<p>This is the fourth opening of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/new-brunswick-express-entry-labour-market-stream.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Express Entry New Brunswick Labour Market Stream<\/a>\u00a0since September 2017 that has targeted Information and Communications Technology workers, among others.<\/p>\n<p>The updated list includes 19 occupations, nine of which are new additions:<\/p>\n<table class=\"table table-bordered active\">\n<thead>\n<tr class=\"danger\">\n<th>OCCUPATION<\/th>\n<th>NOC<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Senior managers \u2013 financial, communications and other business services<\/strong><\/td>\n<td><strong>0013<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Managers in health care<\/td>\n<td>0311<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Restaurant and food service managers<\/td>\n<td>0631<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Financial and investment analysts<\/strong><\/td>\n<td><strong>1112<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Human resources professionals<\/strong><\/td>\n<td><strong>1121<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Executive assistants<\/strong><\/td>\n<td><strong>1222<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Purchasing agents and officers<\/strong><\/td>\n<td><strong>1225<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Administrative assistants<\/strong><\/td>\n<td><strong>1241<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Accounting technicians and bookkeepers<\/td>\n<td>1311<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Information systems analysts and consultants<\/td>\n<td>2171<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Computer network technician<\/td>\n<td>2281<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Software engineers and designers<\/td>\n<td>2173<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Database analysts and data administrators<\/td>\n<td>2172<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Computer programmers and interactive media developers<\/td>\n<td>2174<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Early childhood educators and assistants<\/strong><\/td>\n<td><strong>4214<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Translators, terminologists and interpreters<\/strong><\/td>\n<td><strong>5125<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Retail sale supervisors<\/td>\n<td>6211<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Retail and wholesale buyers<\/strong><\/td>\n<td><strong>6222<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Cooks<\/td>\n<td>6322<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>New Brunswick\u2019s Express Entry Labour Market Stream allows the province to select eligible candidates in the federal\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/express-entry.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Express Entry system<\/a>\u00a0and invite them to apply for a provincial nomination.<\/p>\n<p>Express Entry candidates with a provincial nomination from New Brunswick receive an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System points toward their Express Entry score.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to work experience in one of the above occupations, candidates must currently meet one of the following criteria, among others defined by the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Are currently employed in New Brunswick or have a job offer from a New Brunswick company that is designated Skill Type O, Skill Level A or Skill Level B under Canada\u2019s National Occupational Classification (NOC); OR<\/li>\n<li>Have a child, brother, sister, parent, grandparent, uncle or aunt living in New Brunswick who is at least 18 years old and has lived in the province for at least one year as a permanent resident or citizen of Canada; OR<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate French as first language, proven by a\u00a0Test d\u2019\u00e9valuation de fran\u00e7ais (TEF).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To be considered under this stream, \u00a0you must first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the NBPNP.<\/p>\n<p>The NBPNP will only consider Expressions of Interest to this category from candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/canadian-skilled-worker-immigration.html\">\u00a0Federal Skilled Worker Class<\/a>\u00a0and score a minimum of 67 points out of 100 in the FSWC selection factors.
