It is not the same as\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/express-entry-comprehensive-ranking-system.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Express Entry\u2019s Comprehensive Ranking System<\/a>, or CRS, which assigns candidates a score out of 1,200.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/express-entry.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Express Entry system<\/a>\u00a0manages applications for the federal government\u2019s three economic immigration categories \u2014 the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/canadian-skilled-worker-immigration.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Federal Skilled Worker Class<\/a>, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/canada-federal-skilled-trades-program-fstc.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Federal Skilled Trades Class<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/canadian-experience-class.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Canadian Experience Class<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 202 Express Entry candidates were issued Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) for a provincial nomination from Manitoba in the July 6 draw, which was the sixth\u00a0since the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cicnews.com\/2018\/01\/manitobas-new-express-entry-pathway-invites-its-first-candidates-0110089.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">introduced its Express Entry-linked Skilled Workers Overseas sub-stream in January<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The MPNP said the Express Entry candidates who received an LAA had \u201ca valid Express Entry ID and job seeker validation code, and at least six months of recent experience in an occupation on Manitoba\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/manitoba-skilled-worker-immigration-stream.html#indemand\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">In-demand Occupations list<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Eligible Express Entry candidates must also have the confirmed support of a close friend or relative who has resided in Manitoba for at least one year, among other\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/manitoba-express-entry-pathway.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">criteria<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Express Entry candidates who apply for a provincial nomination and receive one are awarded an additional 600 CRS points.<\/p>\n<p>Registering an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/manitoba-skilled-worker-immigration-stream.html#MPNPExpressionofInterestSystem\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Expression of Interest, or EOI<\/a>, with the MPNP is the first step toward being considered under its Express Entry Sub-stream.<\/p>\n<h3>Skilled Workers Overseas \/ Skilled Workers in Manitoba candidates also invited<\/h3>\n<p>The MPNP also issued a further 217 LAAs to other\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/manitoba-skilled-worker-immigration-stream.html#SkilledWorkerOverseasCategory\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Skilled Workers Overseas candidates<\/a>\u00a0outside the Express Entry system. The cut-off EOI score for this group was 572.<\/p>\n<p>These candidates had to have the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a close relative residing in Manitoba or past education or work experience in Manitoba;<\/li>\n<li>at least six months of recent experience in an occupation on Manitoba\u2019s\u00a0In-demand Occupations list; and<\/li>\n<li>a minimum language proficiency of CLB\/NCLC 5 unless work experience is primarily in a regulated occupation (minimum CLB\/NCLC 7) or a compulsory trade (CLB\/NCLC 6).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Manitoba also issued 32 LAAs to Skilled Workers Overseas candidates with a score of at least 639 under one of the MPNP\u2019s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>Strategic Recruitment Initiatives include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recruitment missions: These overseas employment\/immigration fairs involve\u00a0MPNP representatives interviewing foreign skilled workers and subsequently inviting them to apply after they have made a formal Expression of Interest (EOI) to the MPNP.<\/li>\n<li>Exploratory visits: The MPNP may invite people who have undertaken a pre-approved Exploratory Visit and passed an interview with a program official.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Another 104\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/manitoba-skilled-worker-immigration-stream.html#SkilledWorkerinManitobaCategory\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Skilled Workers in Manitoba<\/a>\u00a0candidates with scores of at least 564 were issued LAAs in the July 6 draw.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bottom-btn\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/assess\/canada-immigration-assessment-form.htm?site=cic&amp;cat=artbot#skw=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">To find out if you are eligible for Canadian immigration, complete a free online assessment.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a9 2018 CICNews All rights Reserved<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Expression of Interest score drops to 519 in July 6 draw, down from previous low of 545.
