{"id":169967,"date":"2018-07-09T02:16:38","date_gmt":"2018-07-09T06:16:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/?p=169967"},"modified":"2018-07-09T02:32:08","modified_gmt":"2018-07-09T06:32:08","slug":"saskatchewan-immigrant-nominee-program-updates-its-in-demand-list-of-occupations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/2018\/07\/09\/saskatchewan-immigrant-nominee-program-updates-its-in-demand-list-of-occupations\/","title":{"rendered":"Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program updates its in-demand list of occupations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>In-Demand Occupations list now consists of 33 eligible occupations, 7 of which do not require licensing.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program announced an update to its in-demand list of occupations on July 3, which applies to its International Skilled Worker \u2013 Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand sub-categories.<\/p>\n<p>The following are key features of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/saskatchewan-provincial-nominee-program.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)<\/a>\u00a0International Skilled Worker sub-categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/sinp-international-skilled-worker-category.html#InternationalSkilledWorker-SaskatchewanExpressEntry\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">International Skilled Worker \u2013 Express Entry<\/a><\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>This \u2018enhanced\u2019 sub-category is aligned with the federal\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/express-entry.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Express Entry.<\/a>\u00a0Therefore, candidates in this sub-category need to meet the eligibility requirements to enter\u00a0the Express Entry pool.<\/li>\n<li>No job offer is required.<\/li>\n<li>Applications are received on a first-come, first-served basis from eligible candidates in the Express Entry pool.<\/li>\n<li>Successful candidates obtain an additional 600 points under the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/comprehensive-ranking-system.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Candidates need to score a minimum of 60 points out of 100 on the SINP point assessment grid.<\/li>\n<li>Candidates must have a minimum level of work experience related to their\u00a0field of study or training in a skilled occupation (NOC 0, A, or B) that is considered to be in-demand in Saskatchewan.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/sinp-international-skilled-worker-category.html#InternationalSkilledWorker-OccupationsIn-Demand\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">International Skilled Worker \u2013 Occupations In-Demand<\/a><\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Applications to this \u2018base\u2019 sub-category are received on a first-come, first-served basis and are processed entirely outside Express Entry.<\/li>\n<li>No job offer is required.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants need to score a minimum of 60 points out of 100 on the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/saskatchewan-provincial-nominee-program.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program<\/a>\u00a0(SINP) point assessment grid.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants need to have at least one-year of paid work experience in the past ten years related to their\u00a0field of education or training, in a skilled occupation (NOC 0, A, or B) that is considered to be in-demand in Saskatchewan.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"top-btn\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/assess\/canada-immigration-assessment-form.htm?site=cic&amp;cat=artop#skw=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Find out if you are eligible for Canadian immigration by completing our free online assessment now.<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Updated In-Demand Occupations<\/h3>\n<p>Of the 33 in-demand occupations on the updated list, seven occupations do not require candidates to obtain specific professional licensure. The other 26 occupations do, however, require professional licensure from the relevant organizations designated by the Government of Saskatchewan. SINP\u2019s list previously featured 36 occupations.
