Photo courtesy of @iamsuperbianca on Instagram.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>MANILA &#8212; The last few days were filled with senators heading to jail and social media is, as always, buzzing with everybody&#8217;s opinion.<\/p>\n<p>Host and endorser Bianca Gonzalez is no stranger to social media&#8217;s darker side &#8212; bashers.<\/p>\n<p>Bianca received tweets and comments bashing her for the tweets she posted on June 19th, when Sen. Anong pinakamagandang magandang term para dito?<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Bianca Gonzalez (@iamsuperbianca) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/iamsuperbianca\/statuses\/479826172105093120\">June 20, 2014<\/a>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" async=\"\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Oo, may nag-tweet sa akin ng ganoon.<\/em> I don\u2019t think I have an opinion except <em>na ngayon lang ako natanong.\u00a0Wala naman akong\u2026 hindi naman ako pupunta sa<\/em> press and say <em>ganito, ganyan.<\/em> Or <em>hindi naman ako nag-tweet<\/em> only because if I do, people would say, &#8216;<em>Bakit mo dini-defend?&#8217;<\/em>&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>(Yes, I got tweets like that [negative, bashing].\u00a0I don\u2019t think I have an opinion except when somebody asks me. I won&#8217;t go to the press and say this and that. Or I won&#8217;t tweet because if I do, people would say, &#8216;why are you defending yourself?&#8217;)<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If I don\u2019t say anything, I\u2019m quiet. If I say <em>naman<\/em> something, <em>bakit mo dini-defend hindi ka naman tinatanong ng tao.\u00a0<\/em>So yeah. In another interview recently, <em>tinanong ako<\/em> about the PBB issue. So, happy <em>ako<\/em> to share my thoughts,&#8221; she added.<\/p>\n<p>Some netizens are even describing Bianca&#8217;s actions as &#8220;<em>pakikisawsaw<\/em>&#8221; or basically just piggybacking the\u00a0pork barrel issue, which is\u00a0the &#8220;in&#8221; thing to talk about at the moment.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Bina-bash ako dahil nakikisawsaw daw ako sa<\/em> issue?<em> Ah, siguro i-backread nila lahat ng<\/em> tweets <em>ko<\/em> for the past three years, <em>kapag may mga ganyan namang issue, nagpu-post din talaga ako,<\/em>&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>(They&#8217;re bashing me because I&#8217;m piggybacking? Maybe they should read my tweets for the past three years. Whenever there&#8217;s an issue like this one, I always post something.)<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;And to be perfectly honest, a<em>ng dami pang mas malalang, masasakit na salita na<\/em> post <em>ng ibang tao<\/em> and<em> ako<\/em>, as much as possible, I want to share my opinion <em>pero<\/em> responsible <em>pa rin ako sa<\/em> words <em>ko.<\/em>\u00a0I\u2019m sure <em>nakikita niya sa<\/em> timeline <em>niya yung mga lait ng tao, &#8216;di ba?\u00a0<\/em>I tried not to be like that <em>kasi gusto ko<\/em> civil <em>pa rin naman yung magiging komento ko<\/em> and yeah, that\u2019s what social media is for, <em>i-share mo yung <\/em>opinion <em>mo.<\/em>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>(And to be perfectly honest, there are a lot of other worse and more hurtful words in other people&#8217;s posts, but as much as possible, I want to share my opinion while being responsible with my words. I&#8217;m sure they can see people&#8217;s negative comments in their timeline, right? I tried not to be like that because I want to keep my comments civil. And yeah, that&#8217;s what social media is for &#8212; to share your opinions.)<\/p>\n<p>When asked if she regrets posting those tweets about Sen. Revilla, she answered, &#8220;No, no, definitely, not.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>May mga<\/em> words <em>pa siguro ako na na-post<\/em> in the past <em>na siyempre alam ko may<\/em> family <em>sila na nasaktan sa<\/em> whatever bashing n<em>a makuha ng<\/em> family member <em>nila.\u00a0Pero<\/em> part, I guess, <em>yun ng<\/em> public life&#8230; Social media is there. <em>Magpu-post talaga yung mga tao ng opinion nila<\/em>,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>(There are words that I may have posted in the past and I&#8217;m sure there&#8217;s a family member out there who got hurt with the bashing their family got. But I guess that a part of the public life. Social media is there. People will post their opinions.)<\/p>\n<p>Bianca said that she will continue to post her opinion on social media despite this new round of bashers.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Oo&#8230;<\/em> Not because <em>para kang nakikisawsaw or lahat na lang may<\/em> say&#8230; Especially this issue-issue <em>ng kaban ng bayan<\/em>, taxpayers, every one <em>naman talaga<\/em> is concerned,&#8221; Bianca said.<\/p>\n<p>(Yes, but not because I want to piggyback on the issue or just for sake of saying something&#8230; Especially about this issue about the country&#8217;s money, taxpayers.
