{"id":165528,"date":"2018-05-30T02:29:32","date_gmt":"2018-05-30T06:29:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/?p=165528"},"modified":"2018-05-30T02:29:32","modified_gmt":"2018-05-30T06:29:32","slug":"solons-seek-to-grant-aussie-nun-filipino-citizenship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/2018\/05\/30\/solons-seek-to-grant-aussie-nun-filipino-citizenship\/","title":{"rendered":"Solons seek to grant Aussie nun Filipino citizenship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The House of Representatives progressive lawmakers filed a bill that seeks to grant Filipino citizenship to Australian missionary Sister Patricia Fox as they highlight her contributions to the Filipino people especially to the oppressed.<\/p>\n<p>The 71- year- old nun was arrested by the Bureau if Immigration due to her alleged engagement in partisan political activities. The latter also issued an order to revoke Sr. Fox\u2019s missionary visa.
