(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/mar.roxas.official\/photos\/a.10153655276524353.1073742090.32626764352\/10153655276794353\/?type=3&amp;theater\">Photo<\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/mar.roxas.official\">Mar Roxas\/Facebook<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Once a presidential candidate in 2016 as Liberal Party\u2019s (LP\u2019s) standard-bearer, people wonder if Manuel \u201cMar\u201d Roxas II will be running for the 2019 elections.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, LP President Francis \u201cKiko\u201d Pangilinan said in an interview with GMA News that Roxas will not seek a post in the upper chamber this coming polls.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve spoken to him and he declined our [recommendation]\u2026 <em>parang sinabi niya na <\/em>(and he said that) he would rather not be included,\u201d Pangilinan said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are still those who are convincing him,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>However, Roxas seems to not be fully closing his doors, admitting that it is a recurring topic asked of him.<\/p>\n<p>Echoing Pangilinan, he also admitted that, \u201c<em>Maraming tao at grupo na ini-encourage akong magpatuloy sa serbisyo<\/em> (There are a lot of people and groups encouraging me to continue my service).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Malayo pa naman<\/em> (It is still far).
