(Supplied)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><em>Achieves fourfold growth in watch time<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">GMA Network celebrates another milestone as its YouTube channel has reached 5 billion views with 4 million subscribers, making the Philippine media giant one of YouTube\u2019s fastest growing partners in the region.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Moreover, the Kapuso YouTube Channel has gained over 3 billion views in less than\u00a0one\u00a0year since GMA\u2019s historic and unprecedented partnership with YouTube called Player for Publishers (PfP).<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Through\u00a0<em>PfP (formerly YouTube Partner Program)<\/em>, viewers can watch officially uploaded and high quality videos of GMA programs online. The team-up of two industry leaders not only supports the anti-piracy efforts of the Philippine entertainment industry, but more importantly, addresses millennial video viewing habits.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Notably, the partnership with YouTube enabled the Network to gain far more subscribers in the past one year than in the nine previous years combined.\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>GMA made long-form content available on YouTube midyear of 2017. This resulted to a fourfold growth year-on-year in watch time\u00a0and achieved no less than 300 percent in\u00a0revenue\u00a0growth.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The said efforts further strengthened the Network\u2019s prominence as a leading provider of premium content not only in traditional broadcast media, but in digital as well.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">GMA\u2019s YouTube channels include\u00a0GMA Network\u00a0(main channel),\u00a0GMA News, and\u00a0GMA Public Affairs, as well as the recently launched\u00a0GMA Playground,\u00a0and\u00a0GMA Playlist.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>GMA Playground\u00a0<\/strong>houses child-friendly Kapuso programs like\u00a0<em>i-Bilib<\/em>,\u00a0<em>AHA!<\/em>, Sirkus, full episodes of\u00a0<em>Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Alamat<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Art Angel<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>GMA Playlist<\/strong>, on the other hand,<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>features GMA-produced original songs. The top videos from the channel are theme songs of popular series such as\u00a0<em>Ika-6 na Utos<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Super Ma\u2019am<\/em>, and<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><em>Haplos<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>GMA One<\/strong>\u00a0(Online Exclusives)\u00a0is an online series\u00a0done in collaboration with\u00a0GMA\u00a0Public Affairs and the Entertainment Content Group (ECG).\u00a0This aims\u00a0to provide viewers with more YouTube-exclusive content or \u201cMade-for-Web\u201d content\u00a0and is housed under the GMA Network channel.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><em>GMA One<\/em>\u00a0initially produced three shows, namely,\u00a0\u201cAdulting with Atom Araullo\u201d,\u00a0\u201c#Goals\u201d\u00a0with Gabbi Garcia, and \u201cFact or Fake\u201d with Joseph Morong.\u00a0GMA\u2019s ECG launched new shows in February, namely, \u201cThousanaire\u201d (Saan Aabot ang P1000 Mo), \u201cThe Boobay and Tekla Show\u201d, \u201cTaste MNL\u201d, and \u201cAll Access\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Recently, GMA also became the first broadcast network in the Philippines to produce content through\u00a0YouTube Space in New York where\u00a0GMA\u2019s prominent artists\u00a0Dennis Trillo, Jennylyn Mercado, Lovi Poe, Alden Richards, Betong Sumaya, and\u00a0Dingdong Dantes recently shot videos for the Network\u2019s channel.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">A Google-owned subsidiary, YouTube is the undisputed global leader in the Advertising Video on Demand (AVOD) platform. GMA, through its digital arm GMA New Media, Inc.
