{"id":163091,"date":"2018-05-08T05:56:23","date_gmt":"2018-05-08T09:56:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/?p=163091"},"modified":"2018-05-08T05:56:23","modified_gmt":"2018-05-08T09:56:23","slug":"teo-resigns-from-dot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/2018\/05\/08\/teo-resigns-from-dot\/","title":{"rendered":"Teo resigns from DOT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Department of Tourism Secretary Wanda Tulfo-Teo has resigned from her post, Malaca\u00f1ang confirmed on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said Teo has handed her resignation letter to Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Teo\u2019s legal counsel and spokesperson, Ferdinand Topacio, in a statement stressed that President Rodrigo Duterte did not demand Teo\u2019s resignation and her decision to leave DOT was \u201cpurely of her own volition.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Teo also reiterated that all the dealings of the DOT underwent all legal processes and were above-board.<\/p>\n<p>Her resignation came after the Commission on Audit (COA) questioned the placement of P60 million worth of advertisements on the show of her brothers.<\/p>\n<p>COA said the deal lacks a contract or memorandum of agreement.
