Teofisto Guingona III followed Santiago in the list of senators with the most number of absences.<\/p>\n<p>Guingona, who was able to attend only 38 sessions was on &#8220;official mission during 37 of the sessions, according to data from the\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0Plenary Affairs Bureau of the Senate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Guingona was followed by\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Senators Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Antonio Trillanes IV, who attended 53 and 59 plenary sessions, respectively.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Trillanes had the most number of absences with a total of 15, followed by\u00a0Senators Ramon Revilla Jr. with 11, Guingona with eight, Marcos with six and Manuel Lapid and Loren Legarda with five each.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Being the oldest Senate member, Senate\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Senate Minority Leader Juan Ponce Enrile\u00a0recorded the most number of sick leaves at seven, but was present in 72 of the plenary sessions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Senate President Franklin Drilon, Deputy Minority Leader Vicente Sotto III, Nancy Binay and Gregorio Honasan were all recorded to have a perfect attendance during the sessions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Senator Jinggoy Estrada who earlier criticized Guingona of always being absent was present in 82 of the 83 sessions.<\/p>\n<p><em>With reports from Philippine Star<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MANILA &#8212; Because of her chronic fatigue syndrome, Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago had the most number of recorded absences in the &hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":44,"featured_media":13540,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1482,95],"tags":[5716,5717,3251],"class_list":["post-16244","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-breaking","category-news-ph","tag-miriam","tag-number-of-absences","tag-senate","mauthors-lei-fontamillas","mauthors-philippine-canadian-inquirer"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/16244","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/44"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=16244"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/16244\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/13540"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=16244"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=16244"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=16244"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
