Col. Noel Detoyato, PA spokesperson, in a message to the PNA.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Tentative arrival date of the (first) 27,000 units will be on July 19,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>The PA acquired 63,000 M-4 automatic rifles to replace its Vietnam-era M-16A rifles.<\/p>\n<p>These new weapons will be immediately issued to line units.<\/p>\n<p>Each M-4 is worth Php38,402.10 each and the entire order is estimated to be worth Php2.4 billion.<\/p>\n<p>The M-4 is a shorter and lighter variant of the M-16A2 assault rifle.
