(Pixabay photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Atlantic province of Prince Edward Island has issued 169 invitations in a new draw announced Friday, including 75 to Express Entry candidates.<\/p>\n<p>The draw took place on April 19 and is the third through Prince Edward Island\u2019s Expression of Interest system, which was introduced in February.<\/p>\n<p>PEI\u2019s Office of Immigration said the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/express-entry.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Express Entry<\/a>\u00a0candidates invited are either currently working in the province or had graduated from one of its post-secondary institutions. Those invited had Expression of Interest scores that ranged from 37 to 87 points.<\/p>\n<p>Express Entry candidates who wish to be considered under the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/pei-pnp-express-entry.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PEI Express Entry Category<\/a>\u00a0must create a profile in the province\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/pei-pnp-express-entry.html#selection\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Expression of Interest system<\/a>. Profiles are reviewed and assigned points based on six selection factors: age, language, education, work experience, employment, and adaptability up to a maximum of 100 points.<\/p>\n<p>Express Entry candidates who have been invited through the PEI Express Entry Stream have 90 days from the invitation date to submit a complete application to the province\u2019s Office of Immigration.\u00a0 Applicants who are nominated by PEI receive an additional 600\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/express-entry-comprehensive-ranking-system.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Comprehensive Ranking System<\/a>\u00a0(CRS) points, leaving them well position to receive an Invitation to Apply for Canadian permanent residence.<\/p>\n<h3>Labour Impact and Business Impact invitations also issued<\/h3>\n<p>The April 19 draw also issued invitations to 77 candidates in PEI\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/prince-edward-island-provincial-nominee-program.html#LabourImpactCategory\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Labour Impact Category<\/a>\u00a0and 17\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/prince-edward-island-provincial-nominee-program.html#BusinessImpactCategory\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Business Impact Category<\/a>\u00a0applicants.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates invited through the Labour Impact Category had scores that ranged from 22 to 85, while the scores for Business Impact Category candidates ranged from 135 to 155.<\/p>\n<p>PEI\u2019s Labour Impact Category is for individuals who possess skills and experience that are needed in PEI\u2019s labour market.
