The lawyer behind one of the impeachment complaints against the country\u2019s Chief Justice is facing his fourth disbarment complaint, this time filed by a blogger.<\/p>\n

Pinoy Ako Blog\u2019s (PAB\u2019s) Jover Laurio filed the said complaint against Attorney Lorenzo \u201cLarry\u201d Gadon on April 24, Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Accusing Gadon of committing gross ignorance of the law and grossly immoral conduct, Laurio and several other complainants filed the said case before the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP).<\/p>\n

The complaint stemmed from Gadon\u2019s actions and reactions to the supporters of the chief magistrate Maria Lourdes Sereno on April 10.<\/p>\n

Gadon was already booed while he was in the middle of an interview with the media, but when one of Sereno\u2019s supporters taunted him, the said lawyer raised his middle finger and delivered oral profanity to the supporters. Gadon\u2019s actions were recorded by the media who filmed him for the interview.<\/p>\n

While this was the case, Laurio in her complaint, still called the protest \u201cpeaceful.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cGadon\u2019s acts and raising the dirty finger without provocation against peaceful protesters are conduct unbecoming of a lawyer and grossly immoral conduct,\u201d the complaint read.<\/p>\n

However, Laurio also accused Gadon of gross ignorance of the law for his impeachment complaint against Sereno.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe legal principle that impeachable public officers \u2013 especially including the Chief Justice \u2013 cannot be removed from office except by impeachment and they cannot be criminally or administratively charged is very basic and elementary,\u201d the complaint stated.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN quoted Laurio telling the reporters, \u201c\u2019Yung ginawa niya, bukod sa hindi magandang halimbawa sa mga abogado, hindi rin magandang halimbawa sa mga kabataan. Sabi niya, okay lag ma<\/em>-disbar \u2018di ba? Eh \u2018di ibigay natin \u2018yung hiling niya <\/em>(What he did was not just a bad example to other lawyers, but also a bad example to the youth. He did say that he was fine with being disbarred right? Then let us give him that wish).\u201d<\/p>\n

Last week, groups of students and activists already filed disbarment cases against Gadon for his profanity. His very first disbarment complaint was two years ago when he said that Muslims must be killed for Mindanao to have peace.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
