{"id":159671,"date":"2018-04-12T02:50:56","date_gmt":"2018-04-12T06:50:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/?p=159671"},"modified":"2018-04-12T02:50:56","modified_gmt":"2018-04-12T06:50:56","slug":"pnoy-ready-to-face-more-dengvaxia-complaints","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/2018\/04\/12\/pnoy-ready-to-face-more-dengvaxia-complaints\/","title":{"rendered":"Pnoy ready to face more Dengvaxia complaints"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Former President Benigno Aquino III is ready to face all charges against him over the controversial dengue vaccine that put thousands of children&#8217;s\u00a0lives at risk, his camp said.<\/p>\n<p>Aquino\u2019s spokesperson, Abigail Valte, said that the consistent participation of the ex-president in legislative investigations and other venues proves that he will not turn his back on this fiasco.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFormer President Aquino has always demonstrated his readiness to answer questions about his decisions as President,\u201d Valte said.<\/p>\n<p>Aquino&#8217;s statement came after Blue Ribbon Committee Chair Senator Richard Gordon submitted a draft report which recommended the filing of charges against Aquino and two of his Cabinet officials, former budget secretary Florencio Abad and ex-health secretary Janette Garin.<\/p>\n<p>Gordon also said that the biggest mistake Aquino ever did was that he \u201csimply did not care\u201d.
