{"id":159466,"date":"2018-04-10T02:32:55","date_gmt":"2018-04-10T06:32:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/?p=159466"},"modified":"2018-04-10T02:32:55","modified_gmt":"2018-04-10T06:32:55","slug":"guevarra-to-be-prudent-in-commenting-on-doj-cases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/2018\/04\/10\/guevarra-to-be-prudent-in-commenting-on-doj-cases\/","title":{"rendered":"Guevarra to be prudent in commenting on DOJ cases"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Department of Justice&#8217;s Menardo Guevarra said he will be a prudent Justice Secretary, vowing not to prejudge controversial cases handled by the agency.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will not prejudge until I\u2019ve formed my own conclusion,\u201d Guevarra said.<\/p>\n<p>He also vowed to study the cases handled by the DOJ before commenting on it and review the decisions made by the DOJ regarding the cases of drug syndicate Kerwin Espinosa and alleged pork barrel queen Janet Napoles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will review previous actions on the Espinosa and Napoles cases. That\u2019s top priority in view of the public interest involved,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPrudence is my guiding principle, and the rule of law is my one and only compass.
