{"id":159363,"date":"2018-04-09T03:15:34","date_gmt":"2018-04-09T07:15:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/?p=159363"},"modified":"2018-04-09T03:15:34","modified_gmt":"2018-04-09T07:15:34","slug":"albayaldes-first-task-to-incoming-pnp-chief-get-rid-of-erring-cops","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/2018\/04\/09\/albayaldes-first-task-to-incoming-pnp-chief-get-rid-of-erring-cops\/","title":{"rendered":"Albayalde&#8217;s first task to incoming PNP chief: Get rid of erring cops"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Incoming Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director Oscar Albayalde has been ordered to prioritize the dismissal from service of negligent cops.<\/p>\n<p>This was the first task given to him by Interior and Local Government officer-in-charge Eduardo A\u00f1o, who believes that if a total clean-up happens, the DILG will become the \u201cbest department in the government.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy first instruction to incoming PNP chief Albayalde is to go after PNP personnel who are a disgrace to their uniform, especially those who are AWOL, sleeping, non-performing, and drinking on the job. All of them should be dismissed from the service,\u201d A\u00f1o said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI told General Albayalde to cleanse the police ranks of bad eggs in order to make the DILG the best department in government,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>A\u00f1o stressed the need to conduct more surprise inspections to get rid of the non-performing police officers.<\/p>\n<p>Albayalde is set to step into office on\u00a0April 18.
