A fuming President Rodrigo Roa Duterte slammed the country\u2019s top magistrate and threatened to speed up her impeachment process as her \u2018enemy.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m putting you on notice that I\u2019m your enemy and you have to be out of the Supreme Court,\u201d Duterte said in a press conference on April 9, Monday, before his flight to attend the Boao Forum for Asia.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will see to it and after that, I will request the Congress go into the impeachment right away,\u201d the President added.<\/p>\n

Duterte was reacting to Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno\u2019s speech on the same day, who accused the President to be behind the moves to oust her off her position in the High court through Solicitor General Jose Calida\u2019s quo warranto petition against her.<\/p>\n

The President, however, took it as a \u2018challenge\u2019 to \u2018count himself in\u2019 the impeachment complaints against her.<\/p>\n

\u201cIkaw,<\/em> Sereno, sinabi ko na sa’yo hindi ako nakialam<\/em> (You, Sereno, I already told you that I did not have a hand in this). If you are insisting, then count me in. Count me in and I will egg Calida to do his best ako na mismo ang maglakad <\/em>(I will even process it personally),\u201d Duterte continued.<\/p>\n

The Chief Executive labeled Sereno as \u201cbad for the Philippines,\u201d and said that he will ask Speaker of the House Pantaleon Alvarez to \u201cfast-track\u201d the impeachment.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow this time, I\u2019m asking the Congressmen and the Speaker, \u2018Do it now.\u2019 \u2018Wag ninyong dramahin<\/em> (Do not add drama). Or else, I will do it for you,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Out of rage, Duterte cursed and also threatened to \u2018hit\u2019 Sereno.<\/p>\n

\u201cP*tang ina sinabi nang ‘di ako nakikialam eh. Sabihin mo sa kanya<\/em>, let the world know. Talagang makialam ako. Ako nagpapasensya lang \u00a0ko, babae <\/em>(Son of a b*tch, I already said that I am not interfering. Tell her, let the world know. I will really do something now. I was just being patient because she is a woman,\u201d the President said.<\/p>\n

He then added, \u201cSinasabi ko na sa’yo na hindi ako nakikialam. O sige ka d’yan, daldal nang daldal, upakan kita <\/em>\u00a0(I already told you that I do not have a hand on this. Keep talking and I will hit you).\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
