(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/GordDownie\/photos\/a.10150292892970508.578997.439350080507\/10150292893730508\/?type=3&amp;theater\">Photo<\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/GordDownie\/\">Gord Downie\/Facebook<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>VANCOUVER \u2014 Gord Downie&#8217;s most recent album \u201cIntroduce Yerself\u201d was often considered his final project, but his brothers insist there&#8217;s much more to come.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat wasn&#8217;t the end,\u201d Patrick Downie told reporters after accepting two Juno Awards for the 2017 album alongside his brother Mike.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c(Gord) did a lot of music in his final time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The brothers stood alongside each other at the Junos gala dinner in the absence of the Tragically Hip frontman, who died last October of an incurable form of brain cancer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIntroduce Yerself\u201d picked up the adult alternative album award while Downie shared a songwriter award with Kevin Drew for the project as well.<\/p>\n<p>The album consists of songs described as \u201clove letters\u201d to people who touched Downie&#8217;s life, from an ex-girlfriend to members of the Indigenous community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere&#8217;s a lot of material that he was doing all along, a lot of material he created after he found out he was going to die,\u201d Patrick added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSongwriting was his vehicle. He just went to work. He was not going to leave this world until he had spoken his language.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The brothers didn&#8217;t say when Downie&#8217;s other projects would be released.<\/p>\n<p>Mike added that his brother&#8217;s \u201cwork ethic was unbeatable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGord never stopped working.
