(PNA Photo)\" width=\"415\" height=\"260\" srcset=\"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/0-02-06-a7fce3a778354f35b4c75b6bb7d203d5eee9c66044ab8fa81b25e67dc8734618_full_5aae158f4e28a5_78742443.jpg 415w, https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/0-02-06-a7fce3a778354f35b4c75b6bb7d203d5eee9c66044ab8fa81b25e67dc8734618_full_5aae158f4e28a5_78742443-300x188.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 415px) 100vw, 415px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-157150\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">FILE: PCOO Secretary Martin Andanar (PNA Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0&#8212; The Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) has started working with all government departments to come up with an efficient and all-encompassing national branding to promote the Philippines globally, not only as a tourist destination, but as an education, culture and investment hub.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe national branding of the Philippines will serve as center for the entire nation and it is the time that the country will be branded,\u201d PCOO Secretary Martin Andanar said in Radyo Pilipinas interview on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Andanar said the proposed national branding got approval from President Rodrigo Duterte when it was presented during the last Cabinet meeting.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the new campaign to promote the Philippines abroad is different from the \u201cIt\u2019s More Fun in the Philippines\u201d campaign of the Department of Tourism (DOT).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMeaning this (proposed national branding) will not only promote tourism but we will promote our investment, education, our people and everything that we have here in the Philippines,\u201d Andanar said in a separate interview with dzBB.<\/p>\n<p>Andanar said all state departments will be part of the big project to come up with a national branding similar to Australia\u2019s \u201cAustralia Unlimited\u201d and Africa\u2019s \u201cIt\u2019s Time for Africa.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is good for our country if it will be pushed through. It is all encompassing because all departments are members, part of this national branding project,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Andanar said he is now working closely with Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo to come up with an effective national branding material.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the kind of brand that will promote the Philippines.
