Lahat ng hakbang ay dapat gawin ng ating pambansang kapulisan at ng mga law enforcement agencies para tiyakin ang kaligtasan at kapanatagan ng ating mga mamamayan,\u201d he said in a press briefing on Monday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">Coloma stressed this amid the recent spate of crimes in the country, including the recently killing of a mayor in Pangasinan and a police major in Quezon City.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">He assured that President Benigno S. Aquino III has been hands-on in addressing crimes in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">\u201cI have been with him on several occasions where I have actually witnessed that he has called up a particular officer to inquire about an incident report or to make sure that a report on a serious crime is being handled properly and with utmost urgency,\u201d Coloma said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">Coloma also pushed for community policing to prevent crimes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">\u201dOne of the principles in crime prevention is getting the support of the citizenry in terms of police community cooperation dahil ang mga krimen naman ay nagaganap sa loob ng ating mga komunidad,\u201d he stressed.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MANILA &#8212; Malacanang is proposing an efficient police intelligence work as law enforcement authorities intensify their crime prevention efforts.
