NEW YORK \u2014 Canadian-raised actress Kim Cattrall has a message for her \u201cSex and the City\u201d co-star, Sarah Jessica Parker: Spare me your sympathy.<\/p>\n

In an Instagram post Saturday, Cattrall lashed out after Parker expressed her condolences over the death of Cattrall’s brother, Chris.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now,\u201d Cattrall wrote. \u201cLet me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cattrall included a link to a New York Post story about the so-called \u201cmean-girls culture\u201d that pervaded the HBO show and two follow-up movies.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, Cattrall had posted a thank-you message to fans, friends and her colleagues from \u201cSex and the City\u201d for their support in the days since her brother’s death.<\/p>\n

Chris Cattrall, 55, was found dead on his rural property in Alberta last week. Police say his death is not being considered suspicious.<\/p>\n
