It broke the record to become the highest grossing historical film, despite offering a 50% discount to its student viewers.<\/p>\n<p>Paulo already made a cameo as Goyo in the prequel, but in this upcoming film, he will now be taking the limelight.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Pero dito sa<\/em> \u2018Goyo\u2019 <em>kasi, malamang gusto din ng marami na mapanuod at ang <\/em>main goal <em>talaga namin at makagawa ng dekalidad na pelikula <\/em>(But most likely a lot of people wanting to watch \u2018Goyo,\u2019 our main goal is to be able to produce a film of quality),\u201d Paulo added in the same interview.<\/p>\n<p>With regards to quality, he also opened how long the shooting took.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Matagal-tagal din naming ginawa ang<\/em> \u2018Goyo.\u2019 <em>Siguro umabot kami ng halos pitong buwan<\/em>, 60 shooting days <em>maliban pa sa mga araw na kailangan naming mag<\/em>-rehearsal <em>ng pagpatalon ng kabayo <\/em>(It took us some time to shoot \u2018Goyo.\u2019 Perhaps we reached seven months, 60 shooting days not including those days that we had rehearsals in making horses jump),\u201d he shared.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Heneral Luna&#8217; and &#8216;Goyo&#8217; were directed by Jerrold Tarog.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, Paulo\u2019s name was also making noise as he starred in the Metro Manila Film Fest (MMFF) entry \u201cAng Larawan\u201d which won several awards including: Best Picture, Gatpuno Antonio J. Villegas Cultural Award, Special Jury Prize, Best Musical Score, and Best Production Design.
