\u201cI think we\u2019re going to see a lot more Filipinos who will look into engaging in succession planning, and to do that they probably need to go further into Europe, particularly Cyprus, where they allow citizenship by descent, which means it last for as long as your line lasts,\u201d Paul Boldy, HLG country manager was quoted saying in an ANC report on February 2.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think we\u2019ll see more people look at that because it offers a secure area, good healthcare, free education and basically, it\u2019s real estate investment,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Boldy further said in the same report that he thinks Filipinos would more likely take the Caribbean passport because it is a \u201cfantastic travel document\u201d that is inexpensive and quick to get.<\/p>\n

According to ANC, he also noted that the Philippines has been evolving into a more attractive business and tourism destination.<\/p>\n

With the country now facing criticisms and issues on martial law, and war on drugs, Boldy said that for him, these will discourage foreigners.<\/p>\n

In fact, he said that he also sees more foreign nationals eyeing a naturalized Filipino citizenship.<\/p>\n

For Boldy, \u201cThings will move forward, a lot of regulations are very old and were actually brought around at a time when the Philippines wasn\u2019t as dynamic as it is now. Things will change over time.\u201d<\/p>\n
