(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/migzzubiri\/photos\/ms.c.eJxFkEEOxDAIxH60YoAA8~;~_PrQoNvVrG0wYsS8swhDvSf3jBKYOU1QfG0AtSnZnONZIDcEFpN~;QD2Y0jC9jAt8Fp5D0pmVnbWaKjuKDQK7mzBelGyDZ8DK5hA9ZQ6RXkgv79zFqAjvptUOs5EfkAn5PYJ6TJGDdKB8KNjDViDKyhY5wF~;elx~_Ac62Vbi.bps.a.1983737564977514.1073742334.197727873578501\/1983737631644174\/?type=3&amp;theater\">Photo:<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/migzzubiri\/\">Senator Migz Zubiri\/Facebook<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Two senators encouraged government officials and those who are against the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL)\u00a0to visit the main battle of war-damaged Marawi City so they could personally see the extent of the destruction caused by the ISIS-inspired Maute Group.<\/p>\n<p>BBL Senate sub-committee chairman Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri, together with Senators Sonny Angara, Bam Aquino, JV Ejercito, Risa Hontiveros and Cynthia Villar, visited on Friday the Marawi\u2019s ground zero, eight months after the Islamic-State inspired Maute terrorist group waged war in the city on May 23, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGovernment officials should visit <em>para makita nila yung <\/em>extent <em>ng<\/em> destruction, <em>kung gaano ka-grabe at kailangan yung<\/em> recovery <em>dito<\/em> (so they could see the extent of the destruction, how intense it is and how we should implement the recovery),\u201d Angara was quoted as saying in an Inquirer report.<\/p>\n<p>Zubiri then dared those who oppose the passage of the BBL to visit the war-ravaged city.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Para sa mga tutol sa<\/em> Bangsamoro Basic Law [to those who are against Bangsamoro Basic Law], \u00a0please visit Marawi City. <em>Ayaw niyong mangyari sa mga siyudad ninyo<\/em>. To end the extremist violence, please visit Maawi City and you will see <em>ayaw ninyong mangyari ito sa inyo<\/em> [you don\u2019t want the same thing to happen to you],\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Zubiri stressed that Bangsamoro people need the ammunition of BBL.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven leaders of the MILF (Moro Islamic Liberation Front) they say give us the ammunition, it\u2019s not guns it\u2019s not bullets, <em>sabi nila<\/em> (they say) give us the ammunition of BBL so we would stop our people from supporting these extremists,\u201d Zubiri said.<\/p>\n<p>Senators Sonny Angara applauded the courage of Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to regain and liberate Marawi from the hands of Maute fighters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think, coming here, you appreciate <em>rin yung ginawa ng<\/em> AFP <em>dito<\/em> [what AFP did]. They saved us from being an outpost of terrorism in the world<em>.
