PBA OIC Commissioner Willie Marcial has handed out a verdict on the late-game tussle between Coach Yeng Guiao and Chris Ross during the NLEX-San Miguel battle on Friday night.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement on Monday, Marcial slapped Guiao with an PHP11,000 fine &#8220;for obscene gesture, use of profane language and engaging in a verbal altercation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Guiao was caught on camera flashing the dirty finger sign on Ross, something that he admitted as &#8220;part of the psychological warfare.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>However, Marcial said that he could not find &#8220;sufficient basis to discuss the matter of an alleged racist remark uttered by Coach Guiao.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ross, as relayed by Coach Leo Austria, claimed that Guiao hurled the n-word at him, something that Guiao himself denied.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, for the said altercation plus an earlier confrontation with Alex Mallari leading to two technical fouls that sent him off, Ross was slapped with a PHP2,600 sanction.<\/p>\n<p>Marcial has yet to give out a fine on Mallari and Mike Miranda, who kicked Ross&#8217;s groin also in the fourth quarter of the said game.<\/p>\n<p>Also being awaited is the OIC&#8217;s ruling about the altercation between Eric Camson and Raymond Almazan during the Kia-Rain Or Shine match on Saturday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MANILA &#8212;
