MANILA<\/strong> \u2014 In line with efforts to ensure that no untoward incidents will mar this year’s ‘Traslacion’ or Black Nazarene procession, a gun ban, no-drone zone, and no sail-zone will be implemented in Manila.<\/p>\n

This was bared by Manila Police District (MPD) spokesperson Supt. Erwin Margarejo in a message to the Philippine News Agency Thursday.<\/p>\n

The gun ban will be implemented by the MPD while the no-sail zone will be managed by the Philippine Coast Guard and the no drone-zone enforced by the police.<\/p>\n

These security precautions will start on January 8 (Monday) and will be implemented for 48 hours, he added.<\/p>\n

Millions of devotees are expected to participate in the annual procession of the Black Nazarene on January 9.<\/p>\n
