Photo courtesy of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/tonycalvento?ref=stream\">Tony Calvento on Facebook<\/a>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>MANILA &#8212; According to journalist Tony Calvento, imprisoned model Deniece Cornejo wrote a letter for President Benigno &#8216;Noynoy&#8217; Aquino.<\/p>\n<p>The letter, posted Monday night on Calvento&#8217;s Facebook page, contains details about Cornejo&#8217;s 23rd birthday celebration on June 1st at te hAnti-Transnational Crime Unit (ATCU) of the PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group at Camp Crame in Quezon City.. Cornejo also shared about her sentiments since being detained.<\/p>\n<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p> <script>(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = \"\/\/connect.facebook.net\/en_US\/all.js#xfbml=1\"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));<\/script><\/p>\n<div class=\"fb-post\" data-href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/tonycalvento\/photos\/a.221630388041108.1073741829.219871534883660\/263712360499577\/?type=1\" data-width=\"466\">\n<div class=\"fb-xfbml-parse-ignore\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/tonycalvento\/photos\/a.221630388041108.1073741829.219871534883660\/263712360499577\/?type=1\">Post<\/a> by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/tonycalvento\">Tony Calvento<\/a>.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m still an innocent person, even as I have been charged of serious illegal detention, as guaranteed by our Constitution,&#8221; Cornejo wrote.\u00a0&#8220;I feel I&#8217;m entitled to marking these important youthful dates of my life with my family, friends, and relatives who came all the way from America and provinces especially that I&#8217;m experiencing difficult times.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>For her birthday, Cornejo invited a pastor from the Christian ministry where she attends so they could &#8220;spread the Word of God and spiritual enrichment of our lives.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>She also justified the invitation in her letter, saying,\u00a0&#8220;With all due respect I didn&#8217;t asked (sic) for any special treatment or privilege. [A]ll that I wanted was to hold a Sunday worship and thanksgiving since its [sic] Sunday and its (sic) family day.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Cornejo reportedly celebrated with around 20 people inside the PNP-CIDG ATCU office. Balloons, a &#8220;We love you Deniece&#8221; poster, and softdrinks were allegedly brought inside the facility. One of her guests was Roxanne Cabanero, another rape complainant against actor Vhong Navarro.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m aware of my limitations and in fact I did not leave the premises of the CIDG,&#8221; Cornejo wrote.<\/p>\n<p>According to a CIDG official, the gathering was not a party but a &#8220;fellowship.&#8221; This statement was justified by pointing out that singing nor alcoholic drinks were present in the said event.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, ATCU chief Senior Supt.
