697, issued by Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II, \u201cIn the interest of the service, pursuant to the provisions of existing laws and upon the request of the Philippine National Police, a task force is hereby created to handle the preliminary investigation of cases filed by the PNP-Counter Intelligence Task Force (PNP-CITF) against rogue PNP personnel.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 14-man task force will be chaired by Senior Deputy State Prosecutor Severino Gana Jr. of the National Prosecution Service (NPS).<\/p>\n
