[He even fought his daughter publicly on Facebook and now he’s going to say it’s delicadeza?] Besides, he has already been cleared months ago by Gordon’s committee de abswelto [of absolution]. So, that’s pure BS (bullshit),” Trillanes said in a statement.

“He is probably just preempting the numerous investigations against him by the Ombudsman. Also, he most likely needs more time to focus on managing his multi-billion peso businesses,” said Trillanes, who had earlier accused Duterte of drug smuggling.

Resignation

In Duterte’s resignation, the vice mayor cited the accusations against him in the smuggling of P6.4-billion worth of shabu from China to the Philippines, his failed marriage with his first wife, and his recent heated exchange of words with his daughter Isabelle as reasons for his resignation.

“There are recent unfortunate events in my life that are closely tied to my failed first marriage. These, among others, include the maligning of my reputation in the recent name dropping incident in the Bureau of Customs smuggling case and the very public squabble with my daughter. The other person in this failed relationship is incorrigible and cannot be controlled. And I take responsibility for all that has happened as a result of a wrong decision to marry at a very young age,” Duterte earlier said.

Opposition Senator Antonio Trillanes IV on Monday lambasted Paolo Duterte by describing his reason for resigning as Vice Mayor of Davao …

[1145,95,483
40397,17005,40398
post-141767","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-headline","category-news-ph","category-politics","tag-presidential-son-paolo-duterte","tag-senator-antonio-trillanes-iv","tag-vice-mayor-of-davao-city-resigns","mauthors-michealina-vallarta-david","mauthors-philippine-canadian-inquirer
["GET
