After the recent transfer of headship of the Duterte administration\u2019s war on drugs from the Philippine National Police to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Volunteers against Crime and Corruption Chairman Dante Jimenez said that the move won\u2019t resolve the country\u2019s drug problem.<\/p>\n
Jimenez said PDEA only has 2,000 troops whereas the Philippine National Police has 150,000. He also cited that the former is also struggling as it has men who are involved in a lot of misconducts.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere are some who are rotten too,\u201d Jimenez said in Filipino.<\/p>\n
Moreover, Jimenez said that it was saddening to hand PDEA the lead, especially for them who are victims of drug lords, drug peddlers, drug pushers, traders because it seems their propaganda won again.<\/p>\n
However, he said that he will let President Rodrigo Duterte know the views of the VACC.<\/p>\n
Duterte-Carpio tells Trillanes to not hide his balls in the Senate<\/p>\n
Presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio on Friday took again on social media her outbursts towards her family\u2019s staunch oppressor, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV.<\/p>\n
Her post read, \u201cSuch a hard face you have for saying that we are a family of murderers and thieves but you are hiding in a parliamentary immunity. Show your balls, don\u2019t hide that in the Senate.\u201d<\/p>\n
The statements came after Trillanes said on Thursday that he only asked for her father, President Rodrigo Duterte\u2019s help in last year\u2019s elections because he did not know yet that the president was a murderer. Trillanes ran for Vice President but lost.<\/p>\n
The mayor lambasted Trillanes, saying that the Davao Death Squad\u2019s goons, gold and girls, allegedly paid by his father to kill criminals and rival, were long been known since the 1995 elections.<\/p>\n
\u201cWere you confined in the mental hospital for a long time? The whole world already knows and you say you do not know? You are lying,\u201d Sarah said.<\/p>\n
She even cited that Senator Leila de Lima, who was then the head of the Commission on Human Rights, probed DDS, but Trillanes still sought Duterte\u2019s help.<\/p>\n
Moreover, Duterte- Carpio told Trillanes that it\u2019s his time to shine as he challenged the latter to prove first that he is not lying.<\/p>\n
