{"id":139153,"date":"2017-12-14T05:17:11","date_gmt":"2017-12-14T10:17:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/?p=139153"},"modified":"2017-12-14T05:17:11","modified_gmt":"2017-12-14T10:17:11","slug":"lapena-to-impose-one-strike-policy-at-customs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/2017\/12\/14\/lapena-to-impose-one-strike-policy-at-customs\/","title":{"rendered":"Lape\u00f1a to impose one strike policy at Customs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The newly assigned chief of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) Isidro Lape\u00f1a won\u2019t show any stint of tolerance not even once in the corruption at the Bureau of Customs while he is in governance.<\/p>\n<p>Lape\u00f1a said he would apply the approach of a one-strike policy to the fraudulent administrators and personnel and he will look into dismissing those alleged corrupt officials given that they undergo a validation process.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Lape\u00f1a vowed to end the practice of \u201cpasalubong\u201d or welcome gift in the agency.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will exercise zero tolerance against corruption in the bureau\u2026 the policy now is \u2018no take no give\u2019 policy.
