(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/TheMovementPHL\/photos\/pcb.871724312990722\/871722569657563\/?type=3&amp;theater\">Photo<\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/TheMovementPHL\/\">Movement Against Tyranny\/Facebook<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The coalition group against tyranny and extrajudicial killings Movement Against Tyranny (MAT) appealed to the Congress on Tuesday to reject the recommendation of President Rodrigo Duterte to extend the martial law\u00a0and suspend the privilege of the writ of habeas corpus in the entire Mindanao.<\/p>\n<p>The group said that the extension of Martial Law is \u201cpatently unconstitutional and a threat to democracy and peace in the whole country,\u201d adding that it fails to meet the constitutional requirements.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn fact, President Duterte himself declared Marawi liberated from ISIS (Islamic State) in October.
