(Pixabay photo)\" width=\"640\" height=\"359\" srcset=\"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/american-flag-2355872_640-1.jpg 640w, https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/american-flag-2355872_640-1-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-117794\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">United States flag (Pixabay photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>WASHINGTON &#8212; It&#8217;s not a final ruling, but the Supreme Court is letting the Trump administration fully enforce a ban on travel to the United States by residents of six mostly Muslim countries.<\/p>\n<p>Challenges to the policy are winding through the federal courts, and the justices themselves ultimately are expected to rule on whether the ban is legal.<\/p>\n<p>The justices offered no explanation for their action Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The Trump administration had said that blocking the full ban was causing &#8220;irreparable harm&#8221; because the policy is based on legitimate national security and foreign policy concerns.<\/p>\n<p>The order indicates that the high court might eventually approve the latest version of the ban.
