(PCOO PHOTO)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>MANILA\u00a0&#8212; Malaca\u00f1ang on Monday expressed optimism that the Senate and the House of Representatives would be able to thresh out their differences and pass the proposed 2018 General Appropriations Act (GAA) and avoid a reenacted budget for next year.<\/p>\n<p>In a Palace briefing, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the Executive is confident that the two chambers of Congress would pass the budget as requested by Malaca\u00f1ang.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can\u2019t comment on a purely speculative matter.
