And we are the chairman of ASEAN. Our option is (to vote) no or abstain, because we are allowing AHA (ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on disaster management center),&#8221; he said in a television interview.<\/p>\n<p class=\"m_2844250449112752970m_-6338261507426497105p1\">In October 2017, the AHA Center already dispatched about 80 tonnes of relief items for displaced communities in Rakhine State through Yangon, Myanmar.<\/p>\n<p class=\"m_2844250449112752970m_-6338261507426497105p1\">The ASEAN humanitarian assistance arm, with confidence from Myanmar government,\u00a0continues to work closely on the distribution of relief items to the displaced communities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"m_2844250449112752970m_-6338261507426497105p1\"><span class=\"m_2844250449112752970m_-6338261507426497105s1\">Aside from ASEAN, Cayetano said the Philippines also courses its assistance\u00a0through\u00a0the Philippine Red Cross to the\u00a0Myanmar Red Cross and International Red Cross.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"m_2844250449112752970m_-6338261507426497105p1\">&#8220;If we (vote) yes as ASEAN Chair,\u00a0<em>magha<\/em>-harden up against\u00a0<em>sa atin ang mga<\/em>\u00a0leaders\u00a0<em>ng<\/em>\u00a0Myanmar, including their military, instead\u00a0<em>na ngayon may<\/em>\u00a0access\u00a0<em>tayo<\/em>,\u00a0<em>nakakapasok tayo<\/em><span class=\"m_2844250449112752970m_-6338261507426497105s1\">,&#8221; he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"m_2844250449112752970m_-6338261507426497105p1\"><span class=\"m_2844250449112752970m_-6338261507426497105s1\">Cayetano said the Philippines voting yes on a resolution calling on Myanmar to stop military campaign against Rohingya Muslims is not an option for the country as it would have ripple effect on\u00a0the displaced communities that needed immediate aid.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"m_2844250449112752970m_-6338261507426497105p1\"><span class=\"m_2844250449112752970m_-6338261507426497105s1\">&#8220;It\u2019s our unique situation, we are not like the 100 plus other countries.
