(Supplied)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Home to the country\u2019s top entertainment as well as news and public affairs programs,\u00a0GMA Network\u00a0once again proved its excellence after winning numerous awards in the\u00a02017 Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Television held last November 12, at the Henry Lee Irwin Theater, Ateneo de Manila University.<\/p>\n<p>Primetime King\u00a0Dingdong Dantes\u00a0and multi-talented actor\u00a0Ruru Madrid\u00a0tied for the\u00a0Best Drama Actor\u00a0award. Dingdong won for\u00a0\u201cAlyas Robin Hood\u201c\u00a0while Ruru won for\u00a0\u201cEncantadia\u201d.\u00a0The first season of\u00a0\u201cAlyas Robin Hood\u201d,\u00a0in turn, won as\u00a0Best Primetime Drama Series.<\/p>\n<p>Winning the\u00a0Best Single Performance by an Actor\u00a0was Pambansang Bae\u00a0Alden Richards\u00a0for his remarkable performance in\u00a0Eat Bulaga\u2019s Lenten Special\u00a0entitled\u00a0\u201cKapatid\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>GMA\u2019s breakthrough comedy-musical variety show\u00a0\u201cSunday\u00a0PinaSaya\u201d\u00a0was hailed as\u00a0Best Variety Show, while one of its hosts, Primetime QueenMarian Rivera-Dantes,\u00a0bagged the\u00a0Best Female TV Host\u00a0award.<\/p>\n<p>Philippine Queen of Comedy\u00a0Aiai delas Alas\u00a0proved that she\u2019s still the best in her genre as she received the\u00a0Best Comedy Actress\u00a0award for her role in the comedy sitcom\u00a0\u201cHay, Bahay!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mikee Quintos\u00a0went home with the\u00a0Best New Female TV Personality\u00a0award for her performance in the requel of the hit primetime series\u201cEncantadia.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Variety game show\u00a0\u201cWowowin\u201d\u00a0was named as\u00a0Best Game Show\u00a0while well-loved and high-rating family sitcom\u00a0\u201cPepito Manaloto\u201d\u00a0received the\u00a0Best Comedy Show\u00a0award.<\/p>\n<p>And once again, several\u00a0shows and personalities under\u00a0GMA News and Public Affairs\u00a0were recognized by the PMPC.<\/p>\n<p>The country\u2019s most-awarded news magazine program\u00a0\u201cKapuso Mo, Jessica Soho\u201d\u00a0took home the\u00a0Best Magazine Show\u00a0award.<\/p>\n<p>Pioneering public service program \u201cWish Ko Lang\u201d\u00a0won as the\u00a0Best Public Service Program. Its host, GMA News pillar\u00a0Vicky Morales,\u00a0was conferred the\u00a0Best Public Service Program Host\u00a0award.<\/p>\n<p>Top-notch documentary program \u201cI-Witness\u201d\u00a0was awarded the\u00a0Best Documentary Program.
