They still recruit from as far as Negros Occidental. <a href=\"https:\/\/pixabay.com\/en\/call-center-phone-service-help-1015274\/\">(Pixabay photo)<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>ILOILO CITY\u2014<\/strong>\u00a0llonggos are encouraged to take advantage of jobs being offered by various business process outsourcing (BPO) companies based in Iloilo.<\/p>\n<p>Iloilo City mayor Jose Espinosa III on Monday announced that the industry is in need of 5,000 workers. \u201cThey will employ them immediately,\u201d he said as the city hall will host the one-day job fair of BPOs this November 28.<\/p>\n<p>Espinosa said that despite the high turnout of graduates every year, they still\u00a0unable to cope with the increasing demand of BPOs. They still recruit from as far as Negros Occidental.<\/p>\n<p>To better prepare city residents for BPO jobs, Espinosa said that he wanted to prioritize the establishment of speech laboratories.<\/p>\n<p>He already instructed Ma. Mathilde Octavio, administrator of the Iloilo City College, to get in touch with the technician of the Colegio del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus, a private school here, and ask details on how to establish a speech laboratory.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur BPOs do not need college graduates.
