(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/DDBgov\/photos\/a.359185914200556.1073741827.281522851966863\/1509064119212724\/?type=3&amp;theater\">Photo<\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/DDBgov\/\">Dangerous Drugs Board\/Facebook<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Retired Armed Forces of the Philippines chief Dionisio Santiago has retired from his post as the Chairman of Dangerous Drugs Board.<\/p>\n<p>Santiago\u2019s retirement came after his frank statement on the establishment of 100,000-square-meter Mega Drug Abuse Treatment and Rehabilitation Center in Fort Magsaysay in Palayan, Nueva Ecija, saying that the proposal to construct the facility was a \u201cmistake and impractical.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe President was excited but money spent building that could have been spent for smaller community-based rehabilitation centers which could accommodate only 150 or 200,\u201d Dionisio earlier said.<\/p>\n<p>President Rodrigo Duterte has reportedly the one who told Dionisio to resign from his post.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cExec. Sec. Medialdea spoke to Santiago the other day.
