American singer-songwriter and multiple Grammy winner Michael Bolton has rejoined on the stage his \u201cBolt of Talent\u201d co-host Morissettte Amon as he launched his Asian Dream Tour at the Grand Ballroom of Marriott Manila last Friday. American singer-songwriter and multiple Grammy winner Michael Bolton rejoined his “Bolt of Talent” co-host Morissette Amon on stage\u00a0as he launched his Asian Dream Tour at the Grand Ballroom of Marriott Manila last Friday.<\/p>\n

According to a report of ABS-CBN, Bolton reunited with Amon in a special duet of \u201cHow Am I Supposed to Live Without You,\u2019 Bolton\u2019s No. 1 hit which he wrote in 1983, along with Doug James.<\/p>\n

In the early part of the show, the Kapamilya singer helped limber up the audience for Bolton, as she sang her heart out to her single, \u201cDiamante,\u201d Beyonce\u2019s \u201cLove on Top,\u201d and the \u201cWicked\u201d showstopper \u201cDefying Gravity.\u201d<\/p>\n

The popular \u201cStand By Me,\u201d and Bee Gees\u2019 \u201cTo Love Somebody,\u201d was sang by Bolton on stage which quickly transformed the capacious ballroom into a colossal jukebox.<\/p>\n

Although it was obvious that Bolton was already having a hard time retaining high notes due to his age, this doesn\u2019t affect his powerful vocal chops which the singer has largely sustained, particularly in the mid-range.<\/p>\n

Bolton continued to sing his covers with his hit version of Otis Redding\u2019s \u201cSitting on the Dock of the Bay,\u201d \u201cYou Don\u2019t Know Me,\u201d and a melancholic performance of \u201cSweet Home Chicago.\u201d<\/p>\n

After an instrumental performance, Bolton rejoined Amon in the limelight as the audience howled with delight when the two singers sang the \u201880s power ballad.<\/p>\n

Aside from Amon, Bolton was also joined on stage with female singer Sam Fly on the Motown classic \u201cAin\u2019t No Mountain High Enough\u201d and on \u201cThe Prayer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Michael bolted the audience out of the blue as he sang \u201cWhen A Man Loves a Woman\u201d in the crowd area. He made his way back to the stage for his hit \u201cHow Can We Be Lovers,\u201d before finishing the performance with the upbeat \u201cSteel Bars.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bolton and his band came back but for only one more heartfelt cover of \u201cGeorgia on My Mind.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amon, for her part, was extremely happy to share this experience on her Instagram account.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been months since I saw him last from working on\u00a0#BoltOnTalent<\/a>, and it wasn\u2019t \u2018til I got to the venue yesterday that he surprised me that we were going to have a duet (yes at the last minute) of one of his greatest hits\u00a0#HowAmISupposedToLiveWithoutYou<\/a>.. so imagine my panic before the concert!\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Amon said she was just so happy and humbled at the whole experience. She wholeheartedly expressed her gratitude to the American singer-songwriter as it has been such an honor and pleasure for her to work with Bolton.<\/p>\n

\u201cManila is just the first stop of the tour and I\u2019m only excited (and jealous at\u00a0@misterlance<\/a>, halfmeant HAHA) for the rest of the cities that have yet to experience your magic live and personal.. all the best to the whole team and again as we say in our country, \u201cSalamat<\/em> [Thank you]!\u201d Amon ended.<\/p>\n
