MANILA\u00a0— Two Filipino youths made it to Time Magazine’s list of the 30 Most Influential Teens of 2017 — a list which takes into account “global impact through social media, and overall ability to drive news.”<\/p>\n

Hawaii-based male beauty guru and internet superstar Brettman Rock, 19, made the cut after dominating social media with his hilarious vlogs including his wacky make-up tutorials.<\/p>\n

“There is nobody on the Internet more fabulous than Rock. Just ask him,” Time said.<\/p>\n

Rock has previously hosted the red carpet pre-program of the 65th Miss Universe pageant, and has already amassed over 8 million Instagram followers as of posting.<\/p>\n

Aside from Rock, St. Scholastica’s College-Manila ninth-grader Shibby De Guzman also made it to the list.<\/p>\n

The 14-year-old\u00a0student shot to fame when she led last year’s rallies against the burial of late president Ferdinand Marcos at the\u00a0Libingan ng mga Bayani<\/em>.<\/p>\n

De Guzman also joined protests against government programs including the Duterte administration’s campaign against illegal drugs.<\/p>\n

“She carried a megaphone and wore a cardboard sign similar to those sometimes strewn over the bodies of drug-war victims. Then, in a widely shared social-media post, she shut down critics who alleged that her fellow protesters were \u201cbrainwashed,\u201d the news magazine said.<\/p>\n

The two Filipinos join the likes of Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown, actor-entrepreneur Jaden Smith, supermodel Kaia Gerber, and UNICEF’s youngest goodwill ambassador Muzoon Almellahan.<\/p>\n
