{"id":12756,"date":"2014-05-30T15:46:35","date_gmt":"2014-05-30T07:46:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/?p=12756"},"modified":"2014-05-31T15:51:05","modified_gmt":"2014-05-31T07:51:05","slug":"clark-can-be-the-next-fort-bonifacio-for-bpos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/2014\/05\/30\/clark-can-be-the-next-fort-bonifacio-for-bpos\/","title":{"rendered":"Clark can be the next \u2018Fort Bonifacio for BPOs\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_12757\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12757\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Clark-Pampanga.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-12757\" src=\"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Clark-Pampanga.jpg\" alt=\"Map of Clark, Pampanga \/ Wikipedia Photo\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Clark-Pampanga.jpg 300w, https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Clark-Pampanga-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-12757\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Map of Clark, Pampanga \/ Wikipedia Photo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>MANILA &#8212; As more property developers and investors target areas outside Manila, a property consultant said Clark can be the country\u2019s next business process outsourcing (BPO) hub.<\/p>\n<p>CBRE Philippines chairman and chief executive Rick Santos said Clark is drawing more BPO firms because of the \u201cyoung, intelligent, and multilingual\u201d labor pool in Central Luzon.<\/p>\n<p>When it comes to the country\u2019s gross domestic product, Central Luzon is contributing 9.2 percent, ranking third in the top contributors next to Manila with 35.7 percent and Calabarzon with 17.4 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Another important factor which makes Central Luzon a perfect spot for BPO expansion is the large number of workforce in the next two years with an estimated total of 60,000 graduates from business administration and information technology-related courses.<\/p>\n<p>Citing a labor analytics, CBRE Philippines director Francis Bautista said that about 5 to 10 percent of employees working in Makati,<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople actually make the trip from Pampanga everyday, so obviously there is a strong labor pool there,\u201d Bautista said.<\/p>\n<p>He also emphasized the shift of importance from location &#8212; an important question when opening a business &#8212; to where the labor pool is.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo instead of having people waste two to three hours commuting to and from their provincial home to have a taste of Metro Manila, if you have that location there, you can pay them less and they will just be happy to be working closer to home,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cClark, with the proper infrastructure and strong demographic profile in Central Luzon, is coming out as one of the stronger potentials in real estate development.
