(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/138582539673766\/photos\/a.138582909673729.1073741825.138582539673766\/176970099168343\/?type=3&amp;theater\">Photo<\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Vice-Mayor-Pulong-Duterte-Official-138582539673766\/\">Vice Mayor Pulong Duterte &#8211; Official\/Facebook<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Presidential son and Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte on Thursday announced that he will retire from politics when his term ends in 2019 but dropped a hint that it would still be a \u201cCarpio-Duterte\u201d tandem in the next local elections.<\/p>\n<p>This announcement came after Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte announced that she would run for a congressional seat in the First District of Davao City in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen Mayor Sara announced that she would file for a congressional seat in the 1st District, everybody\u2019s asking me where I am going,\u201d the vice mayor said in a statement on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will still be a Carpio-Duterte tandem for mayor and vice Mayor, we are still talking to the other Duterte but definitely it will not be me,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Duterte did not name their relatives who would run for the two top seats, however the vice mayor said his sister\u2019s husband, Atty.
